Fall

Summer came and went, slowly fading into Fall like a pleasant breeze. The mornings feel mintier now, a shock to my system. School’s back in session, hurried parents in the AM, rushing with colorful backpacks, pulling their children along to class on their way to work. Days end earlier, barely at 7 PM and I can feel nightfall as it begins to blanket dusk. Yesterday the moon shone like a pearl in the black sky, beaming overhead flooding my path with rich light.

The wind hums a melody most mornings now. I want something warm to sip as the wind carries her tune. I feel awake and alive; Fall is my favorite season.
