So you’ve had a ukulele sitting around for a while but are too intimidated to pick it up. Does this sound like you? The ukulele is one of my favorite instruments because with just a little bit of knowledge and work, it’s easy to learn.

Join me in this beginning ukulele class. We will learn the basics - how to tune, how to hold the instrument, how to strum. We’ll also learn how to play scales, how to fingerpick notes, how to strum basic chord progressions, and finally we will walk away learning a few songs!

Chord charts, tablature and pre-recorded song tracks will be provided for each song, making practicing easy and supported. The final class of the workshop will be a review followed by student performances of two songs from the repertoire. This will be a fun supportive environment to cheer on peers in their newfound skills!
